The LifeCare PCA™ Infusion System, made by Hospira, is a state-of-the-art unit that promotes safe, accurate infusion delivery. The infusion system features an integrated barcode reader, allowing operators to verify the drug type and concentration level for each infusion, and multiple confirmation screens to prevent user error.
A key driven locking system secures the LifeCare PCA at various points, including programming lockout and medication door lockout. The pole clamp also locks to the I.V. pole for added security. The LifeCare’s distinctive design is meant to help prevent line mix-ups. The unit also features an intuitive, easy-to-read keypad for efficient operation.
The LifeCare PCA features wireless capabilities and is easily upgraded to include Hospira Mednet™ Safety Software, complete with customized drug libraries for up to 10 clinical care areas.
