It’s #TechTipTuesday! Welcome to our weekly series where we ask members of the biomedical community about their tips and recommendations for maintaining medical equipment. This week we’re asking, “What tips do you have when it comes to ultrasound systems?”
This week, we asked some of our resident ultrasound experts to weigh in with their most important pieces of advice for working on ultrasound systems. Read their tips below:
“Don’t swap parts between systems. You may introduce more problems than you started with.”
-Carl Garrett
“To gain a true and complete understating of the issue, ask questions. A lot of questions. It can be difficult to fix a problem if you don’t know what the problem is.”
-Lyle Cmerek
“Always make full backups any time you are addressing an issue or completing a PM. If you are unsure of how to do so, give Avante Health Solutions a call. Always try the obvious when diagnosing any medical equipment. More times we can overlook the simplest of fixes such as removing transducers or rebooting the system.”
-Keith Hamm
Huge thanks to Carl, Lyle, and Keith for giving us today’s tips on ultrasound! Want to join the conversation and add your own tips? Be sure to follow me on LinkedIn and comment on today’s #TechTipTuesday post. See you next week!
