Cost-effective PC-based ECG Now Available from DRE

January 12, 2010

DRE – a premier medical and surgical equipment supplier – now offers the DRE Velocity EKG, a portable PC-based EKG/ECG system that provides powerful data and analysis functions.

DRE, Inc.   recently named a Fast 50 Company by Business First of Louisville – offers the DRE Velocity EKG, a 12-channel PC-based EKG system that provides impressive cost savings throughout the life of the device.

“The Velocity EKG has all the features of an interpretive EKG system for a fraction of the cost,” says Justin Jeffries, DRE’s chief operating officer. “Plus, it operates on your existing PC, eliminating hardware costs and allowing you to print EKG data on standard paper.”

The affordable Velocity EKG connects to most desktop PCs and laptops running Microsoft® Windows® XP or 2000. It includes a data acquisition module and analysis software, making it great for hospitals, physician offices and laboratories.

The 12-channel Velocity EKG is easy to operate and portable. It stores and manages patient records and interpretation from all ECG modalities, and displays real-time EKG waveforms on a PC screen. It also provides:

  • Simultaneous 12-lead acquisition
  • Auto/manual measurement and interpretation
  • Large data storage and powerful data management software
  • Reports in Word, PDF and JPEG formats – all are easy to transfer via email
  • 30s – 360s HRV analysis
  • Advanced analysis functions, such as VCG, timed VCG and QT dispersion, and optional frequency spectrum EKG
  • Easy-to-upgrade platform available with a stress testing option

DRE offers the Velocity EKG for a price that is less expensive than most standalone EKG machines. The Velocity EKG provides additional cost savings, as it allows physicians to print EKG reports on standard computer paper, reducing thermal paper costs.

“In addition to printing reports on standard paper, you can save them in Word, PDF and JPEG formats. Store reports on your hard-drive to save on storage costs, or email them to eliminate courier fees,” says Jeffries.

DRE’s wide variety of ECG monitoring products also includes the DRE True ECG Plus, a six-channel ECG that is great for hospitals, family practices and emergency responders. The True ECG Plus is lightweight and portable, and is available with PC-based data management software.

Also available is the DRE True ECG Advance, a 12-channel ECG system. It features a 12.1” color touchscreen and an alphanumeric keyboard with one-touch operation. Healthcare facilities can upgrade their True ECG Advance to include a stress testing system with a treadmill or bicycle.

Physicians looking for an ECG system with maximum cost performance can rely on the DRE True ECG 12T. It is a 12-lead ECG system that features a built-in high-resolution printer and an 8.4” color touchscreen.

In addition to the EKG/ECG monitoring solutions, DRE offers a variety of new and refurbished medical and surgical equipment. DRE’s exclusive brand of equipment includes the DRE ASM 6000 Patient Monitor, DRE Integra AV-S Anesthesia Machine, and DRE Maxx Luxx II Operating Room Lighting System.
