Philips Telemetry M2601B M4841A Audible Tones and LED Lights

Philips Telemetry Modules often use audible tones and LED lights to alert clinicians for a variety of reasons, identifying the different alarms in the field can be a challenge.

Use this guide to determine the varying audible tones and visual indicators of the Philips M2601B and M4841A Modules.

The Most Common Audible Tone Patterns

  • Single Audible Tone
  • Double Audible Tone
  • Factory Default Settings Audible Tone
  • Assigning Device that is Searching for an Access Point Audible Tone

 

 

 

Single Audible Tone

After powering on the device, the LED’s will flash once and you will hear a single audible tone. Other than any cosmetic damage, the PCB’s of the device do not need service.

 

Double Audible Tone

After powering on the device, the LED’s will flash once and you will hear a double audible tone. Other than any cosmetic damage, all of the PCB’s of the device need service.

 

Factory Default Audible Tone

After powering on the device, the LED’s will flash once and you will hear a single audible tone after P.O.S.T., then a series of synchronized-sequence flashing LED’s and a two-tone audible sound.

 

Assigned Device / Searching for an Access Point

With the device already powered on and after P.O.S.T., a series of synchronized-sequence two-tone audible will sound every two seconds without any LED flashes. The device will go silent after it has found the Access Point.
